Default Car won’t shut off intermittently

Hello,

I am here seeking help because with the riot/protest that is happening across the nation, my local Honda dealership is closed indefinitely. In late February, my civic won’t shut off all of a sudden. I went to the dealership and they diagnosed a problem with the shifter assembly. I had it replaced and everything seemed fine for about a month and then now the issue is coming back intermittently. I took it back to the dealership in April and they were unable to duplicate the problem and asked me to video tape it. Now that I have the video, the dealership is closed and I am unable to get any help until they reopen.

I was just hoping if anyone have any idea how I maybe able to pinpoint what’s going on. This happens about once a month, I would drive to a location and put the car in Park, hitting the push button but the car would go to start mode instead of turning off, I have to restart the car , move the shifter out of Park and back in, then the car turns off correctly.

Any help or idea is appreciated ! Thank you
