Joined the Honda crowd in a big way
I had a Honda about 10 yrs ago. It was a 1992 Civic HB with a Frankenstein motor we built (d15b6 block with b7 head, a6 cam, Y8 cam gear, Y8 Transmission). It was alright but small.
Got rid of it to get a 1998 GP GTP. Helped a friend build up a 238 rwhp LS'Vtec.
Anyways lately moved to a place that could use awd and scanned around.
Ended up getting a 2002 CRV last month in excellent shape for $2500 (most in my area go for 3500-4000 with same or even more mileage). Voltage regulator went out the day I bought it lol. Anyways changed out the stock radio for a Kenwood Double Din and added a underseat woofer. Installed a multiplug in the back to keep powered a Battery Jumper Box, portable power bank, portable DVD player, LED Lantern and also equipped with 160w Solar panels. Also included are card games and extra bottles of water for the 2 chihuahuas we have.
Today we purchased a 2003 Element EX for the wife for $3k (most in our area in similar shape go for $4-$5k). She LOVES it and most of the camping mods in my CRV will go into her Element instead.
So here we are. Im a Lead Diesel Mechanic by trade so definitely have the tools to take care of these fantastic cars
