Alright, so my problem is that the people on my block and at school are really annoyed with how loud my car is. So, I have some questions. I can get a WRX muffler (with dual polished tips) for free in January. What is the intake diameter? and would it sound decent? Thanks
WRX mufflers are for WRXs, not Integras. Trying to make it fit will be more trouble than it's worth.
Why dont you just get a type-r muffler.

As long as the dimensions are similar, any competent welder can mate it to your current piping with the correct hangers.
A muffler is a muffler. It's not discreet math, geez.

Right, a muffler is very well a muffler but wouldn't it be much easier to get one that fits without involving any modification.
There is no question to whether it will work or not. It could require very little work and I could very well be wrong about the whole issue. I just hope you don't think badly of me when I have a hard time encouraging those who insist on pushing square pegs though round holes.

But sometimes it is damn funny to watch them try!
Wasn't there a commercial portraying that a long time ago? It was an Aamco commercial or something. The woman drops her car off to have it worked on and the guy tells her they are professionals. A guy tries to stick a square peg into a round hole on something (don't remember what it was). They disolve and then flash back to them and the wood peg is now a splintered, chopped up, hacked up, mangled mess but it is now in the round hole. The first guy looks at the second guy and goes "good job!"

Subaru is all I have to say.. Why would you put a subaru muffler on a teg? Free? So what? Is the CFM flow so much better that it would warrant putting it on your teg? Not for me in a million years...
but, that is just my opinion... square pegs, as it has been stated, can always fit in a round hole with enough force... but why>? Just get a round peg....
But, if you do decide to do it, more power to you!
I would wonder about, aside from the mating of the flanges, the hanger positions and how to suspend it properly.

man you guys are whack. a muffler is a stinking muffler as far as his price and performance expectations are concerned. as long as the dimensions fit, itll be fine. dont pay more than 30 to weld it in.
again, you guys really suck giving that kind of advice

just get that WRX muffler for free, sell it to some dood, and get yourself an ITR muffler to bolt on.
just go buy a cheap generic turbo muffler from summit for like 15-60$. Real quiet flows well. I like mine
cheap>sounds good>sleeper>
i have the $15 muffler. i love it!!

BTW, the muffler inlet piping is 2". I have a straightpipe on my car, so I'm not sure what the exact inlet size of the muffler itself is. I've heard one WRX muffler that was grafted onto a '00 2.5RS, it sounded a little throatier than stock IMO. It would probably require a fair bit of fabrication to do hangers on it and piping that would match up to the Integra bits, but it could be done. I think it would be more trouble than it's worth though.
