new to forums, looking for help
Hello. My son bought an 01 back in December. Drove it home, about 45 minute drive. He got in trouble that same night and it sat for 2 weeks. Wouldn't start. Replaced the battery, plug, wires, cap/rotor. No start.
Fast forward about a month. Had to move it in my garage because of the city.....and it started up. Drove it around for a few days......got a code for running lean. Stopped starting.
We have replaced the fuel pressure regulator, alternator, and am about to replace the timing belt and tensioner (manual). I have checked everything I can think of, and a lot of things I found online to check and she still won't fire up.
I have 120 compression on all 4 cylinders. Spark at the coil and at the plugs. Fuel pressure was constant and holding fine (can't remember number).
I checked the crank sensor to see if the wires were frayed by the belts (looked good). I replaced the ignition module in the cab....because i read they go bad easy. I have done everything I can think of, short of the timing. Working on that now.
Can you think of anything else I should look at that maybe I missed? My son's first car has been sitting for 6 months almost now without him being able to drive it.

120 does seem a bit low. It sounds like it could be an intermittent fuel pump problem, or bad/old fuel. Have you checked your main relay? They are known for issues due to factory solder joints separating. Usually they act up in the hot summers. Do you hear your pump whining when the ignition is first turned on?
