Icon5 Question regarding Exhaust manifold civic EP2

Hello all, in October i started the ownership of my first car,a very beautiful 2005 Night Hawk Black Civic ep2 facelift. I'm absolutely in love with the car, however, as all honda owners i feel like, i would like to help my D16V1 breathe a little better and hopefully get more "umph" out of it. I'm looking for a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and all i could find online was the exhaust mani from Japspeed which will run me 200 british pounds.(i live in Europe, in Romania) However, i was wondering: are there any differences between an old-school D such as a d16y8 or d16z6 and my d16v1? would an exhaust mani for those engines fit mine? i would save a pretty penny if it were the case because it seems that there are more manifolds available for those engines. Thank you and sorry if posting in wrong thread/stupid question. Just a humble newbie in the honda world looking to learn

also, i would like to mention that i'm not modifying my d16v1 further than the mani, because i know it's not a very cost effective engine to mod and i'm also considering the ol'reliable k20 swap. thanks :D

Post a picture of the exhaust flange where your stock manifold bolts to the head. I’m not familiar with your d16 engine. I know the d17a1’s in the usa are totally different flange bolt patterns and not compatible with the older d series stuff.
