Default Possible transmission issue?

So I replaced my accord 91 "Ex" with a 91 accord "LX" trans from offer up. Supposedly low miles. Used my old sensors even switched the vss which was surprisingly different from the one on the trans. (Mine had 2 hoses which passed oil through and the LX had no hoses or connectors for hoses at all) starts fine and runs in neutral as to be expected but when i try to shift to drive it is a sudden thudding halt and the engine dies. Almost what it sounds like when you seize a motor and try to start it. Just that metal thud and nothing. Of course put it back to neutral or park again no hesitation starting and staying on but try to go to drive and same issue. Any clues of tips? Is it because I put a LX in a ex with no TCU change?
p.s no lights thrown check engine or S light. When jumpers are in service Port no no codes except solid cel

Are you sure the fluid is correctly filled?

As long as you stay idle in neutral it runs fine?

i actually think the fluids might be a but over filledm I thought it was leaking so I added more turns out the vss wasn't tight enough and was spitting oil out. It idles in neutral and park as well as revving. It will rev up. If I try to Rev it in neutral and bring it into park it comes to a jarring halt and just dies. Doesn't even try to get a last breath

Nope. No codes. I'm odb so when I insert the paperclip I just get a solid cel with no flashes from the Sport light or illumination unless I manually press the sport button.

Neutral switch eh? Not going to lie. Haven't even heard about one of those. A

Seems to point to either a transmissions with converter/pump issues. or your first gear solenoid is not behaving correctly.

Well let me add this. If the first gear solenoid is on top I actually did lose the screen/gasket for it and made a gasket out of gasket sealer...
