Default Cable clutch tranny into an EK?

Is this stupid or ..? The price is so much lower and I'm all about saving money. Just wanted to know if it's possible and what if any reason there would be not to do it.

The cable tranny won't work in later model cars. There are conversion kits though, so you may be able to get a cheaper cable tranny and convert it for less than a hydro

its possible, but i dont think its worth it, cable trannys IMO arent as good as hydro tranny, and saving money isnt part of the sport.
