2000 Honda accord transmission problem
I recently bought a 2000 Honda accord with 276k I miles as a project picked it up cheap. Was told it probably needs a new transmission it goes into reverse and drive but it takes a few seconds to engage and jerks between those gears makes a clicking noise when going in reverse. Doesn't seem to shift if I'm correct a few seconds after accelerating the d4 light blinks. I think the code was p1768 I can't remember I did test the solenoid the one on top with 2 motors and the 2 below it. Now the top solenoid works when I applied 12v to both sides when it came to the ohm resistance it was off I read it should be between 17 to 25 if its not within spec it's bad. I haven't tested the liner solenoid which is the one with 2 separate connections but it's one piece. I'm just second guessing myself now lol because I almost have the old transmission almost out the car 🤦♂️. I still wanna test that part it because I found a low mileage tranny on Ebay a jdm imported from Japan they said I would have to swap all of the sensors over for it to work and I don't wanna put bad solenoids on a good tranny and still have problems has anything experienced these symptoms I know this is alot explaining lol just trying to explain much information as possible thanks.
I'd probably go to the junkyard and get a set solenoids there. Or buy them off ebay.
I'd do the same as you, throw the other transmission in there. Your sensors are unlikely to be the problem unless broken. Just move those sensor over to the JDM tranny. Then put on a "new" set of solenoids.

Ebay is a decent place to start:

$50 approx for the solenoids.Of course, double check these match yours.

replacing the solenoid's at the mileage that you have on the car may not help. if the transmission has not been serviced properly. I would suggest trying to drain and refill the transmission(x2) to see if it helps before buying solenoids or a new transmission.
put the car on jack stands or a lift and run it thru the gears with the new fluid each time. then the last try and drive it around and see if it helps

Not suggesting he put new solenoids on old transmission. Put them on the new transmission instead of moving the old ones to the new tranny.
If you still want to play with the old transmission, then try all the usual. Swap solenoids, change the fluid multiple times, clean out the old solenoids, check fluid level. If that doesn't improve, and you already have another transmissions, just swap them and use the new solenoids you bought.
