I just recently brought a 2001 Honda accord EX (87k miles) the car is a 5 speed 4 cylinder with A F23A1 the car is in perfect condition. This car is going to be my daily driver but I definitely want to do some upgrades to the car. I'm not looking for a 10 second car but something fun and super reliable. Reliability is going to be important I don't want to have to pop the hood every time I go for a ride. I definitely would like 300whp if that's possible ( if not a number that I can have fun and maintain reliability) I plan on keeping this car to at least 200,000. I really don't have a set budget but I'm definitely not gonna put my life savings into it I plan on ordering parts little-by-little until I can start the build. A lot of the work I'm going to do myself I am not a master mechanic but I am pretty good with my hands. I'm looking for ideas, sites for parts, and things I will need to know for this project. Any information I definitely appreciate.
ot of work I can do myself I'm no mechanic but I'm pretty good with my hands and puzzles.
read through this thread. image links are all broken now, but still good info. IIRC, he made over 450hp on high boost tune, but closer to your 300hp goal for daily driving.
I don't know if cost is ever discussed in the above link, but you can be sure it wasn't "cheap." reliability at twice the stock power output will require a good plan and easily more money than the car is worth now. it can be done with then engine that's in there now with a good turbo build. A K24/20 swap is also an option that will get in spitting distance of that kind of power without boost, but that's a whole other thing.

Daily 450WHP? The turbo will output that higher boost at HIGHER RPM in HIGHER GEARs. It needs the load to make the heat for the power exchange. Speed limit is 65MPH. That 15-20psi is only happening in 3rd and above. How fast are you going by 3rd wide open....65MPH. If you go big you will only make about 4-6 in 2nd. Your 0-60 will behave as 6psi build driving around. Balance that out for the purpose and youll get a better driving machine.
Nobody is doing Variable Nozzle Turbines.
You might be wanting a supercharger to daily drive. That you have full boost instantly. 15lbs or whatever locked in ratioed at the crank. 15lbs of boost through 1st and 2 nd.
