Default Stock gsr rods capacity(n/a) I know this has been done

Hi have look at alot of post about this but most are turbo builds and 10+ years old . So I'm in the mild of building a mild all motor gsr with nippon jdm itr pistons and stock rods with arp 9mm rod bolts and was woundering how much hp tq they can hold. So I know what I have to tune the car to. It's my weekend fun car. So would 220be do able. I heread on the turbo post 350whp but dont know what that equates to in n/a power. Thats

I’m not sure did you wrote those last sentences seriously, but kW or ”hp” is what it is, no matter how you are feeding air to the engine. Anyway, it is little stupid way to rate components by output power. Think about it. You can reach some specified level of power with very different conditions because it is sum of work and time. In piston engine case, cylinder pressure and rotational speed. Boosted engines for example, can reach higher power level in lower revolutions than naturally aspirited, which is simply result of higher cylinder peak pressures. That is directly increasing oscilating stress of rod and piston. I highly recommend studying bacis of physics and four stroke otto-engines.

But those P72 rods are fine for naturally aspirated engine when talking about strength, only ”disadvantages” are weight and press fit piston pin.

Well let’s put it this way I’m not sure just speculating also

a stock gsr turbo bone stock just arp head studs they safely go up to 350whp/250tq ish

so that gives you idea how strong they are up to 8500rpm your using arp rod bolts so it’s safe proven up to 9000rpm

na. You can probably make up to 220whp (depending on dyno/ head /cams / ported or not/ bla bla)

with 135-145tq ish na

thetes plenty of B20vtec basic builds that is solid. Here’s one I’m copying to give u idea power you can make
ofc yours gsr so minus 10-15hp with 10-15tq

https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/v...eap-build.html

but every dump read different. Don’t get stuck on numbers

the 1/4 and driver mod is what matters

You're going with forged Eagle rods... for your mild NA GSR build?...

Ok then.

it's ok.. There's nothing wrong with a little extra safety. especially of the stock rods weren't shot peened and balanced.
