Hey Everyone,

I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX (4 door) with a bad Sunroof leak. After research I’m pretty certain the drain tube got disconnected/shrunk overtime which is causing my rear, passenger side floor board to flood. I’ve searched on here but couldn’t really find the answer to my specific problem. Since my issue is happening on the rear, passenger side..does anyone know the best way to fix this? What’s the best way to locate the drain tube in question? Do I access the drain tube from the trunk? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Ugh, I don't know why but the drain tubes are so annoying and seem like they take a little work to get repaired. I would check starting at the top. See if the tube/tubes are disconnected. Then, I would run something like a weedwhacker filament through the rube to see where it pops out. It should be following down the side of the columns. Then you can put it back and tape it in place (or add an extension to reach the other end of where the tub goes). Recently chased a similar thing but on the drivers side. I also picked a bright color for the filament so it was easy to find when it popped out.

 

Thanks for the info. What’s the best way to access the tube? Again it’s the rear passenger side I’m having the issue. Do I access the drain tube by removing the trunk lining, or would I have better access removing the rear passenger side wheel well? Thanks
