It seems I have an affinity for cars. The Civic SI especially. I think it is one of Hondas most unique releases set apart by it's vin change unlike the ITR. Both GSR and ITR would share the "DC2" chassis coding. Doesn't make it better or lesser than in my eyes, just unique. Oddly I actually walked away from an 01 black ITR the week I found my MR SI. I wasn't a fan of the USDM fronts back then LOL. Well in 1999 when these cars came out my brother was a senior in HS, I was a JR. He and I joked he'd get a blue one and I'd get a red one. Our life paths varied but I ended up getting a red one in early 200 - No mommy, no daddy, but I was living at home and had a great job. The car was a dream come true, but HOLY DWB that bad boy was a cop magnet!!



Well last week a buddy messages me and says, "Hey Joel, I know you like EM1's do you want to buy one?" I reply with the basics, "What color, price, yr, issues?" I go check it out and fire it up, it sounds healthy but did not wish to accelerate and drive under its own power. So we strike up an "as-is" deal on wednesday after going through the car. Our schedules agree for a Friday pick up, so I go over his place on friday morning, I swap out the complete TB, re-did the timing belt followed by a valve adjustment. The car sounded so healthy and was ready to run. Later that night I returned with my wife and here it is.

I've been around. It's been 4yrs since my last civic. But I've mostly played on team integra and ITR.CA in my absence hehe.

EM1's for the win. If i ever come across one for a decent price, and i can find a spot to put it, i would definitely pick one up. Whats the plans for this one?
Wah, you sold the sedan? Did not know that. I've been lookin around for an em1 as well. Just looking though. I had the EBP back then and sold it before moving to Austin, Tx.
How much did you pay for it. No AC and no power steering with issues I think $1800 would be my price range. Less if the engine or trans wasnt original

That seriously gives me PTSD from my wire issues at my ECU. Mine was caused by the hack shop (obviously didnt know they were hacks at the time) installed my vafc 2 in my car years and years ago.
Yeah. Threads that start with "so I bought a b swapped chassis and now its doing this ----problem" give me a headache. Usually step 1 is what ecu is in it, does the ecu test good

Nothing new really, I replaced the tachometer as the old one was stuck on 14k rpm.

bought an EM1 Steering wheel shell to replace the rotten EX joint


Oh. and some LEDs, has a shot HID kit on it, not feeling it.



and I'm on the hunt for these items if anyone has them:
Black Hood 99-00
Black front Bumper 99-00
Drive Fender 99-00
JDM ITR 4-1 Header Heat Shield

Yup, thats the results i keep getting too. Buying another used manifold with the shield may be the easiest option, then sell the other one lol
