Default 1988 Honda CRX JDM EF7 ZC swap to B series

Hey guys, I have a Japanese EF7 CRX Si with the original ZC in it. I would like to do a b series swap into it but in my research I've heard multiple different opinions on what is required and I'm confused.

I would keep the setup however I have multiple issues, cracked transmission housing, pieced together throttle body that's unresponsive, car seems extremely slow, zc is non vtec.

From what I've heard this b swap is almost close to enough work as a K swap, is this true?

Would love to hear from someone who has done this before and any advice is welcome, trying to create a budget and do a build with my free time in isolation.

Thanks!

I wouldn't think a B-swap is even close in the amount of money and work when compared to a K-swap. Unless there's something way different about the EF7 chassis, I would think engine, trans, shift linkage, ECU, mounts, and axles would get it in there.

Where are you located? If you end up pulling out the ZC, I've got a buddy looking for some parts - shoot me a private message.
