04 Civic - Wont Start
I have an 04 Honda Civic with about 163,000 miles. In the past, the motor ran great but after a small front end accident, the engine will not start. The battery seems charged sufficiently because the lights, dash lights, and heater fan operate as they should. When I turn the switch there is absolutely no action or sound at all. Not even a click or any obvious attempt to turn the engine over. The starter does not seem to engage. What could the problem be? Is there a relay or fuse that could have blown? I can't help but think it is a simple solution but I don't know where to start. Any suggestions would be appreciated?
First check the actual voltage at the battery, a volt meter is like 10 bucks at Walmart, everyone should have one. If it's around 12v then check the starter and make sure it's not messed up from the accident. Check your fuse box, most are labeled, one should be inside the car, under the steering wheel or in the door jam, and one is under the hood
