1994 Civic LX, FITV repair
My civic surges between 1-1.5k when at operating temp and when I put my finger over the bottom left hole in the throttle body, it goes back to normal. I tried disassembling and cleaning the FITV as well as screwing the white plastic piece as far in as it could go, but it still surges. Does anyone know if you can buy repair kits for these? All I can find online are the whole units which are $80+.
They feel pretty stiff, but I haven't seen any available, do you know where I could find one?
I made a DIY smoke machine with a soldering iron, a jar, some mineral oil, a rag, a bike pump, and some vinyl tubing and didn't see any vacuum leaks in the intake. I should also note that when I unplug the IACV, it stops surging and idles at 1500 rpm.
