I currently have a J30A1 in my CG2 Accord and I’m looking to swap the motor for something that will drop right in with little chassis modification and can handle a turbo setup. Also looking for a manual transmission to go with it. What would be a good motor to put in it?

Edit: Is it possible to just rebuild the J30 with some upgrades and a turbo?

 

If you can find it there were a few supercharger kits for the J30.
Otherwise if you want MT, look at the 03+ J-series Accords. A bit more involved.

 

Well I know for sure i want a MT. And I was hoping more into the turbo than supercharger. I heard a J32 motor and trans from the same generation Acura TL would fit. Or with a couple mods turboing the J30. If I can’t find anything good i may just end up supercharging the J30 like you said.

 

There is a video of someone putting a j35 with 6 speed manual tranny into accord but had clearance issues. I'm also curious if an 04 6 cylinder accord engine/tranny would fit into the 98-02 accord and how reliable for turbo?

So far, the best turbo engine people mention is the 4 cylinder f20b

 

My main concern is how the 4 cylinder goes in. What all would I have to change out?
