Default P2229 barometric pressure sensor error

Hello, I’m getting a P2229-barometric pressure sensor A-circuit high check engine light on my 2005 civic si. Does anyone know how I can problem shoot or check this? Where is the baro sensor on the civic?

Its also called a MAP sensor. Stands for manifold absolute pressure. Usually found near the throttle body or attached to the intake manifold.

The barometric pressure sensor is typically found inside the ECU in more modern Honda/Acura applications, however, there are still a few exceptions. If it is external, it would be found inside the passenger compartment just under the dash, near the left or right corner where the dash meets the body just ahead of the door opening. If it is in your ECU, then the ECU is damaged. The only way to get the code to go away would be to either replace the ECU with a known good one OR purchase a tuning system like Hondata KPro and the sensor can be turned off in the program.
