Still worth it to H22 swap a 2000 Accord?
Would this be a good Isolation project? Or a waste of a couple grand? My 2000 Accord has the F23A1 5 spd with a 55mm turbo. I never did the swap. Starting to think , last chance. They have the longblock at the JDExchange for $600. I already use hondata and plan to swap everything over including the turbo stuff.
Last chance? Is this stuff still cool? I did mine over 10 years ago.
What are you thinking?
Planning to keep the car at least 2-3 more years. Not ready for the move to an electric car yet.

Ultimately that's up to you to decide if it's worth it for you. It's all down to personal preference and how much you enjoy the chassis. If you got the H22, it would be a downgrade if you went back to naturally aspirated but for some people there is something special about hearing VTEC crack and listening to the engine rev naturally. If you are planning to swap it and keep your turbo setup some changes would need to be made and I personally believe the H platform is not quite as reliable as it's single cam cousin the F series.
Don't really know what you mean about "last chance". The engines will still be relatively easily obtainable for some time. Especially now that almost everyone has moved away from H/F series for the most part and onto K series, with the exception of a select few of us.
Personally I love these engines and cars. I'm looking at building a naturally aspirated one to go alongside my turbo car. It's all down to what you want. If you think it's going to be a waste of time and resources now, then maybe it's not your thing. We all have different priorities.

Truth. Since 95' I had an Integra or my hand me down Accord. That is B's , F's, and H's for 25 years. Honda is an incredible car company and I love the 4 cylinder 5 speeds. The way I can still work on it in my garage. Pull the trans on the floor. Etc. Like old times, kinda.
In some years I will make the move to electric.

Would F series be better for turbo or just F20B? F better for turbo than K series? If you just wanted a turbo daily driver for the BOV sound (under 350 hp), would you still need a different motor? Can you beef up an F23a to be as reliable as f20b? Dreaming but one day would not mind grabbing a high mileage AT or 5 speed swapping motor/tranny for F20b or H22 combo
350 hp? Well , I only get a little over 200, that's 220-230whp tops on the dyno. Its an Accord F23a1 M2Y4 H22 trans, 55mm turbo on 15lbs of boost.
I had to keep the Accord .680 P28A 5th in the Prelude trans. The stock 4500RPM at 65MPH, is nuts. Otherwise the ratios are choice. Goes 1,2,3,4 real quick with a far off 5th, Higher multiplication final drive too. Got to stay under 3K RPM at 65MPH.
I get 23-24 MPG mixed with 650 cc injectors and a bar of boost. It would all transfer over easily onto a nice low mileage H22. Where it could take advantage of that head.
Put new water , oil, pumps. Belts, gaskets. Viton valves seals. And run it.
