Son was driving and the engine suddenly shut off. Stopped on the side of the road and towed home. Hasn’t started back up since around 4/10

• The engine will crank but won’t start up.
• ODB reader gives no codes.
• All fuses and relays checks and working properly.
• No noticeable dash blinking lights or messages.
• Car has plenty of gas.
• Lifted back bench and can hear fuel pump cycle when ignition is turned
• No noticeable fuel smell in engine compartment.
• No leaking fuel visible.

Broken timing belt.....

 

Spark issues - pull one and crank the engine, see if there's spark at the plug. Assuming it's a 4cyl, timing chain would be the next guess, worse if it's a v6 with a belt as that one is an interference engine.

cam or crank sensor maybe do you get any rpm bounce(not sure if it applies to honda) when attempting to start ?
