Default Transmission leak at cooler line banjo bolt

2002 Accord Ex v6. 3.0
BX7A brand new remanned from best buy transmissions,
everything is working great but the cooler line banjo bolt on top, under intake manifold is leaking. Is it maybe not tight enough? Its not leaking real bad, but enough to worry. The guy that put this in for me said that he was barely putting any torque on this bolt and it snapped...so he had to go get a new banjo bolt, so i am worried about applying to much torque to it. Any suggestions?

This should not be a problem. Make sure to use new washers on both sides of the banjo fitting.

everything is brand new...like a little over a month old. Are you saying to pull this banjo bolt, get new washers and reinstall? Could i rather tighten the bolt?

Perhaps put some RTV to help seal it up and put it back on?

So i got in there this morning and took everything apart. Got my 17mm on that banjo bolt and it didn't take much effort to crack it loose. I pulled it off and there was only 1 washer, aluminum im assuming, i did not check, it was on the bottom of the cooler line (transmission side) i moved it to be underneath the bolt head. Tightened it up real good, when i thought i had it good i did just a tad bit more. I just got everything together. Gonna start it up and run it to see if it still leaks. Will also call honda to order new bolt with washers and install and top off fluid. Since the transmission is brand new, when should i look at doing a drain and fill? I hear that on these remans you only want to drive for a certain amount of time on 1st fill to break it in and then do drain/fill. Is that correct?

If you only have one washer it most likely will leak. When you refill the trans, use Honda fluid, in the gray bottle with red writing. Don't use "made for Honda" type fluid which is commonly sold by most auto parts stores. The only place to get the Honda fluid is, or course, Honda, or what is left of the Carquest chain of stores.
