1990 Accord Idle Surge
Hi everyone, my Accord has this idle issue where once it is fully warmed up it starts surging between 1000 and 1500 rpm. I don't have any vacuum leaks in the lines or gaskets and I've cleaned and adjusted all of the valves and I noticed when I plug the top hole just inside of the throttle body it immediately causes the car to idle perfectly. I also noticed that the top hole has a lot of suction or vacuum while the bottom hole has nearly none. I've read a few different things about this but some people are saying the top hole leads to the FITV (fast idle thermo valve) others are saying that it leads to the IACV (idle air control valve) and I am assuming there is a difference between the f22 engines and other Honda engines when it comes to this. Does anyone have any advice on this topic?
