Best K24A2 / K20 For Road Racing
Newbie to the K platform, I have an S2000 F22C endurance road racing car. Looking to do a K24A2 (2006-2008 TSX) bottom end and K20 Head. Looking for most power and torque with reliability. I have the option to get a K20Z4 RSP-2 head/cams or K20A2 PRB-1 head/cams. Will be replacing rods with Carrillo H rods or Saenz 300M and pistons with Darton sleeve. So my question would be what would be the best combination for a road racing race car. The car has Haltech Elite 2500 running E85. Looking for 300+ WHP. Suggesting from the experts here what would they use. Thanks in advance to all.
The TSX head will create more torque in the mid-range and the K20A head will make more peak HP. You decide which is better. You will NOT make 300+ WHP on stock cams from any K head.
I'm open do doing everything possible including a Billet head from Endyn or Drag Cartel, with oversized valves, cams, etc. Sleeving block with larger bore, etc. What do you recommend?
k24a2 bottom end with K20z3 head with Skunk 2 or Drag Cartel stage 2 cams rbc 50 deg cam gear with a good Skunk Manifold and bigger tb and decent set of headers will be a very stout , dont need rods/pistons.
keep me updated.
I have a road racer project too, but i'm going to keep the combo very simple , i may use the 6sp type S tranny too with a slightly lightened flywheel. sometimes it is not just about the power you make but how fast you make it and where in the power band you want to make it.
