How to Pull J35A8 From 2005 Acura TL?
Hi all,
I was wondering what was required to pull the engine from a 2005 Acura TL? I have pulled many engines but no Honda stuff. I would suppose the engine and trans need to be pulled as a unit? I also assume all fasteners are metric? And other items need to be disconnected such as: speedometer, throttle cable, wiring harness, coolant hoses, exhaust, axles, etc. I know I am missing some items so I was hoping for advice from people who have done this before. Thanks for any and all help.

If it is a 2005 TL, it does not have the J35A8 engine in it. It can only have the 3.2L J32A3 in it.
As for pulling the engine, it is not as easy as most other Hondas. The manual suggests pulling out the whole front subframe. I pulled a J30A4 (similar engine and trans setup) through the top but it was not fun. I had to separate the trans from the engine. It is very tight. The oil filter housing has to be taken off if you try to pull them out together.
