Default Are fixed back bucket seats safe for daily driving?

Hi all,

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum, so please forgive me if this inquiry is out of place.

I'm currently in the process of resto-modding a 1999 Integra GSR. The previous owner did not take good care of this car, to say the least, and the seats are covered in mold, there are tears everywhere, the bolstering is so worn that I can't even stay in place while taking a turn at 20 mph, and they smell like weed. I don't wanna bother trying to restore these godforsaken seats, so I'm considering doing one of the three:
1) Finding clean OEM Integra seats
2) Finding a clean Recaro from a JDM ITR
3) Buying a new fixed back bucket seat. (Specifically, the Buddy Club P1 Limited Wide; not FIA certified)

Although I would definitely love having a bucket seat to keep me in place during spirited driving, the concern of safety is more important to me. What are your guys' thoughts on having a fixed back bucket seat for daily driving when it comes to safety? I won't have any harness or roll bar/cage, just the normal 3 point seatbelt. Will it be more safe? Less? Equal? I live in the SF Bay Area, so I don't wanna spend the money on a bucket seat if it means having it snap in half after getting rear ended by some soccer mom in an Escalade.

fixed seats without rollover protection are not safe. when a stock seat is involved in a rollover, it will unhinge and lay flat in case the roof collapses.

The ITR seats are a great non-fixed back solution for the intended use of the car and they work great with the stock belts. I really enjoyed the set that I had. If you are much bigger than 6'3 210 lbs the JDM seats will fit tighter than Kim Kardashian's pants.

Simply put, no. Kaan's reason is most important.

Also, 3pt belts won't work correctly with a fixed back seat.

Its more risk than it's worth.

For all the above reasons. NO.
Find you some proper seats (stock)
If you choose to do some spirited driving, please take to to the track.
Or come look me up when this ish blows over and lets go karting!
Dirty also lives in the bay area.

Thank you all for confirming. I was aware of these same reasons, but I've heard some people claiming that fixed backs are just as safe as OEM seats. Tons of people use them but I was unsure about doing the same. I even saw that there was a special BMW model that came from the factory with modified Recaro SPGs, but those were most likely altered to be more safe on the street/work in tandem with the other safety equipment in the car. Now, I'll just wait for a good ITR Recaro to be put up for sale. There's one with rails online for like $600, but this whole coronavirus thing put me out of work for the time being so I'll have to pass on it.
