92 Accord Head Gasket and Fan Timer? Ive changed everything else.
Hey folks! I have a 92 Honda accord.dx Currently giving me some trouble along the cooling line. The radiator fan doesnt turn on when its supposed to. Neither fan actually turn on unless the AC is ON.
I have changed the following things .
1. Thermostat.
2. Thermo Switch
3. Cooling Temp Sensor
4. Sparks plugs
5. Radiator flush-fluid ran clear.
I have done the trick with the paper clip into the terminal to see if the fans turn on. The ridiculous thing.. they do not turn on when the car is on, only when the AC is on. and when turn the car off, this then turns the fan on. After doing all these things, I do have some dark oil, changed valve cover gasket, will get an oil change once I can drive there without the car overheating.
I have found the fan timer under the dash by the steering column. The now problem. How do i remove it and like 100 other post i keep reading and not being able to conclude.. is the fan timer the same as the controller module? Something is not telling these fans when to turn on and im not sure what to do. Thanks.
