Default P28 auto to manual conversion help

I recently acquired this p28 ECU. I'm trying to do a manual conversion so I can send it off to phearbale for chipping. The problem is that it doesnt have the RP18 resistor. Solder looks factory and clean. Should I just go on by removing RP17 then jumper R18? I've attached pictures below. My search didnt really answer my question. Please help!! Thanks.

YES, that's how you convert an auto ECU to a manual.

You can use wires from a resistor to jump RP18.
