Icon5 1996 Civic CX 1.6L I4 SOHC MISFIRE!

So i just bought a cx with 270xxxkms on it and owner said it had a miss on 1 cyl but no check engine light and he swapped the injectors from another d16 engine that runs bat had no clutch master cyl but stopped and gave up fixing the car. bought new spark plugs, ignition coil, spark plug wires, and checked the dist. cap if clean or not (it was great) and checked fuel pump. still had a miss. saw an unplugged vacuum line and the maf box was not put properly on the throttle body(?). still missed, did some more research and found out about my car's condition and found out about a timing issue. checked it and the timing was way off, timed it and it ran better. before it would start and idle at 1.5k rpms and about a couple of minutes would drop to 1k then proceed to struggle like it would stall especially if i turn on my lights and airconditioning but after i fixed the timing it idles at about 1k or 900-950 then had no problems when i turn on the lights and airconditioning BUT felt like there was still a problem. i pulled each spark plug wire to test my theory and cyl 1 and 4 did nothing but i know the wires and plugs were good since they're new. i don't know what to do anymore so i desperately went to to this forum since this is where i learned how to check and fix my car's timing. i'm trying to do all that i can before sending it to the shop and spend big bucks. fixing this hatch hopefully before june for my sister. it'l be her 1st car. Please help

Removing a spark plug wire with engine running is a good way to the blow the coil. To avoid this disaster, unplug fuel injectors instead to test for dead cylinders.

Are you saying that the engine still misfires? If so, post all CEL codes and compression test the cylinders.

Copy that sir. thank you so much.

Car still vibrates a bit after i fixed the timing. again, before i fixed the timing it idles at 1500 rpm then down to like 1000 then to 500 then would proceed to go down to 0 and struggle and vibrates like crazy. turned the lights and max heater on and it would lose power and idle very poorly but now it runs better but still idles at 1000 but no issues when i turn the lights and heater on. no white smoke, no CEL codes.

How are you checking for CEL codes?

Also
  1. Check the ignition timing and adjust if necessary.
  2. If idle speed is still high, adjust it per service manual instructions.

i have an OBDII Reader.

Already did and lowered down the idle speed to a steady 1000 rpm unlike the up and down between 1500 and 0.
Okay i will try and do that as soon as it stops snowing here in hines creek lol.

although i checked the new spark plugs i installed and it had carbon soot on them. is that a bad thing?

bad news. i went out and started the car to transfer it to my garage so i could start working on it but it idled again at 1500 and then when i got out of the driveway it stalled and when i tried to started again it struggled. and when i looked at the engine i saw that the plugs for the spark plug wire on the distributor cap was oily. what the hell is happening
