Cb7 swap motor or rebuild..is what I'm looking at normal?.. please help.
I need to know if this is where the valves are supposed to be seated and what to do about the block.. I can't find anything to answer my questions. F22a3 pt3 head. Is what I'm looking at after pulling the head normal and need a cleaning or set it aside and get a different motor.if a new motor what will be the easiest swap on a 90ex besides the h22. Please help.i feel a little lost right now.all valves in cyl. 1 and 4 are closed and 2 are open in cyl. 2 and 3.

You still have the cam in the head.......Not all the valves are going to be open or closed at the same time.
Engine looks like it had a fair amount of miles but it looks like it was taken care of. Exception of cylinder #4, which unless you cleaned the piston crown yourself, looks like it had a leaky headgasket. If you just want a stock rebuild, do a re-ring with a ball hone, some fresh bearings, new gaskets and belts, and go with it.

Thank you for the reply. Eases my mind. It sat throughout the really rainy winter and developed the chocolate milk oil..I flushed it 3 times and that helped..then I found a small oil leak and couldn't quite pin point it..so I tore it down because I had a feeling that I did have a gasket leak. I also found I have 3 exhaust valves and two intake that are leaking so Im in the middle of rebuilding the head after I get it back from ptest and resurfacing .I'm thinking II will be doing a ring job and whatever else the bottom end needs so its a fresh motor Now. Currently I'm pulling it all and will be starting the engine bay shave and complete wire tuck...I said screw it..I'm never getting rid of the car so why not make her damn near show ready yet driveable.
