Fixing up my old Civic, any recommendations on coil overs? Looking for some that ride smooth, and are the best quality.

 

Ground control and Koni is a well known setup. If you want low, get the extended tophats.

Otherwise I plan on going for Progress Auto suspension, they have a thread with discount code in the for sale section.

 

I ended up with GC and Koni for my car, they ride well enough and handle great. I went with 450F and 500R spring rates.

Before that it was Tein S.Tech springs. The Teins rode nice once I switched back to my stock swaybars but ended up dropping the car too much and weren't adjustable and not as stiff as I wanted.

Do yourself a favor and go for the Koni/GCs or other well regarded coilover from the start. I spent too much time and $ screwing around with other setups and would have been happy with this from the start.

Another option to be aware of is that EG coilovers will work on your car with the EG front lower forks. I was between the TEIN Flex Z and the GC/Konis, I think the TEINs would have been good but I didn't feel like spending more to get the spring rates I wanted.
