Ac idle issue
Ok so I know this has probably been posted a thousand times but here's another one. Ac off engine runs smooth no issues. Turn the AC on and my idle starts messing up. And if you go from a stoplight and hit the gas it has no power. That is unless you hit the sweet spot on the gas pedal. It feels like my mixture is off. I have changed the iacv as I thought that was the issue and it was dirty anyways as well as a new air filter. This is also a new ac compressor as the one in it was bad when I bought the car. And yes I changed out the dryer and vacuumed the lines. I will say that if I'm stopped than I will have to press the gas a lil for the AC to stay cool. I have to check my levels but last time I needed a lil freon due to filling it on a cold day originally. Just looking for ideas on what to look for next.
On a side note I let the vacuum run a minimum of a hour if not more. And I used actual guages when I did all of that. I had just rented them is all.
Low pressure was right below 45 but don't have actual guages (have the guage to fill it). Belt was a lil tight and loosening it seemed to help. It idle better at about 750 to 800 with ac on but still bogs down when I put it under load of driving. Check for codes and I have a p1298 so I most likely have a short somewhere. Gonna have to check my fuses tomorrow so I don't know if that is gonna help. After that maybe I have a vacuum leak somewhere.

In the end, you will likely need to recover the refrigerant and recharge the system with refrigerant by weight. You also may need to add oil.
For P1298, check fuse 15, though you almost surely have a separate problem with the overcharged A/C system.
45 psi seems way too high. You need to get a proper manifold gauge set.

The code is most likely a loose wire . I never had a issue but now that I took off the throttle to change the iacv I probably knocked something loose.
Thank you so far.
So after vacuum refill and vacuum again and another refill cause of a technical issue I still had that issue. Than I thought of vacuum leak. Nope nothing. So being puzzled I forgot.to do one simple thing when I bought the car. Change the spark plugs. I pulled out the old ones and let me tell you idk what the previous owner was thinking. It had three ngk and one AutoZone branded one. All of whick were corroded. I bought 4 ngk vsparks platinum and had no idle issues since and that as well fixed the AC. I felt stupid for not checking those..lol
A big thank you to those that helped out.
