I have the dash removed from my '93 EX and there is a light bulb set into a plastic boss in the center of the dash to the right of the rear defrost button. There is a red/blue wire running from it with what looks like a factory connector, but the previous owner cut the wires and left a foot of loose wire. What does the light indicate, and is it worth the effort to reconnect it? Thanks.

 

Just visualizing it in my mind, that cutout to the right of my rear defrost button is sealed. Perhaps your prior owner had something else installed for which that light was a pilot light. Or the wire could come from anywhere. The bulb is the wrong color, but it could be the wire for the light in the ashtray, or a heat/ac control light of some kind.
