F23Z5 auto to manual swap
Hi everybody,
I have a 2001 Accord CL3 (European model) in which I've swapped the engine and transmission successfully.
Now I am using the auto ECU, so I have some problems with the car. I can't pass 5500 rpm, and VTEC is not working, just like the speedo.
In spite of having the manual ECU, I can't use it because the ignition key is different, so the immobilizer doesn't allow me to do anything.
Do you know any solutions how to solve these problems? Or should I use the Manual ECU somehow?

I'll go in reverse:
To bypass the immobilizer, you can solder on a chip to the ECU that will let a key work.

Follow this video and install it (requires some soldering skills, but it's not hard).
VTEC Solenoid sounds like it's not activating (first guess).
You will want to check voltage on it to make sure it's working. vaccuum as well.
Speedometer I will take a guess and say look at the Speed sensor

The speed sensor and the VTEC solenoid was working perfectly in the other car where I got it from.
So now we are trying to figure out how to wire it in into the auto ECU. We have tried to put the signal wire from D13 to Connector C23, which is the VSS pinout. Unfortunately it doesn't work.
I have heard that if you fix the VSS, VTEC and the 5500 rpm limit problem will be solved.
