Hondata KPro V4 CAN Bus
Hello, I'm interested in seeing if the Kpro v4 CAN bus also runs through the OBD-II post? I'm looking to plug in a digital dash that has OBD-II connection but it is using CAN bus. If I can use the OBD-II to talk to the Kpro CAN bus, that would be awesome.
Dang 10 months and no answer, not finding much on Google myself wanting to know the same thing, cept I already bought one, aem obd2 data stream gauge. Doesn't read thru the obd2 port just turns on and off, wondering if I can wire it into the can outputs on kprov4 not finding much info on that though and don't wanna kill my ecu
Normally, you connect the digital dash directly to the Digital input/output plug on the KPro4. Based on the requirements of the dash unit, you may use the CAN Hi and CAN Lo wires OR the Tx and Rx wires to make it work. There are other possibilities... these are just a couple of examples. In any case, I am unaware of a way to wire the original diagnostic port to work with a "plug in" style dash display... and if you do, the port would no longer function as a diagnostic port.

The wiring for the aem gauge is just 4 wires to an obd plug power, ground, can h, can L and I know the kpro has can h&l outputs so I'm curious if I could just cut off the obd plug from the gauge and wire it directly to the kprov4. Selecting which can output type on kmanager would be trial and error i guess to see if any data would get carried over but biggest worry is messing up the ecu not to worried about cutting on the 140$ gauge
Appreciate the speedy reply and insight
