Default long term fuel trim / short term fuel trim high

Hello everyone,
I'm in need of assistance. I just got done finishing my 00 itr build and I keep getting a P0172 / P0170 codes. I went ahead and checked my live data and it showed my long term fuel trim at -16.8% and my short term fuel trim at -20.8%. From what I've been told those specs are out of range which is why it gave me those codes. What should I be checking to fix the long term fuel trim % back to 0 and shorterm to be lower?

Need some suggestions please and thank you!

What EMS are you using? stock ECU?

P0172 ACURA Possible Causes

  • Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
  • Ignition misfiring
  • Faulty fuel injectors
  • Exhaust gas leaks
  • Incorrect fuel pressure
  • Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor

Make sure your o2 sensors are good ! Check the "Possible Causes" listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector's pins.

Double check the map sensor O ring!

How's the injectors? try getting them flow tested or try another good OEM set of injectors.

Hi there,

The culprit was leaky injectors. For those of you having this problem check your injectors. I had mine clean and tested by RC injectors so I ruled them out so I thought they were good but they weren't..
