Found this for $400 and comes with the valve cover (crappy looking one), GSR cams, and a VTEC solenoid. Guy says its 100% stock, not milled, not ported, etc etc. Only thing that stands out to me is the cam caps are discolored differently than the rest of the head. Red flag?
Looks like just oil staining on the caps, no biggie. I'd HIGHLY suggest new valve seals though.. By the looks of those ports, those seals went bad long ago. 400 is also a tad steep.. They negotiable?

Show me where you can get a good P72 in Europe for $400.. That's more than reasonable. even in the U.S.

Ahh, Europe. Understandable. Here? Just a matter of looking around. I've passed on a couple damn good GSR possibilities recently; I don't have another chassis to toss it in yet.
Yes. Torque cams down and make sure they spin freely
So lets say I have him take a video to save me a 2 hour trip and assemble/torque down the thing in a parking lot. How apparent would it be if the cam caps AREN'T the correct ones? Will the cam bind up and not move at all? If the cam caps are original, how freely should they spin? Are we talking you give them momentum and they go round and round or you can just move them by hand?
If the head checks out and you get it, I would check to see if it needs to be milled, hot tank that mother and get a full valve train. No need to port&polish if you are staying at lower power levels but a really good valve train and seals would be perfect.

Also, it depends on what kind of HP you are looking to make, I made 700whp on Type R cams and ran a 9.9 with them. So if you are only shooting for 400whp there is no need for a big cam. I would use that money for a really strong valve train.

I was just kidding, I don't think I'll ever benefit from aftermarket cams.

‘yep type R cams will be a smoother idle at a more natural rpm range, I run the pro1 and I love them, but I keep my idle around 1000-1200 rpm
