Default 96 CX bell housing on an S40-B000 Ex trans?

I bought a 96-00 ex transmission for a good price because it has a sheared mount on the back side on the bell housing. I will be swapping the transmission into my 96 CX. Will the 96 Cx bell housing fit the Ex transmission?

What do the cases have stamped just above the fill hole? A000 or B000
The bearings are different between the two.

Are you talking about having 35mm or 40mm bearings? I know my new tranny has 40mm bearings as I've already purchased the rebuild kit. Does the new one have to have the same bearing size?
