Ive been dailying a 89 crx for 7 years now and just bought a 2nd identical 89 crx to daily so i can park my original to swap the engine. The crx i just bought had been sitting for about 2 years so i gave it a tune up, new distributor, plugs, wires, valve cover gasket, air filter, battery, and fresh coolant. It had less than an 8th of a tank of fuel that smelt old , i was planning to change but was talked out of doing so i filled it up with premium and it was hard to start but once it warmed up ran like a charm, turned off and started right back up. But once it cools down and i try to start it it turns over and sounds pretty terrible and will have to turn iver for a while until it starts rough but if i rev it up to about 2k itll idle back down normal and idle and run perfect, but everytim it sits for a while it has the same hard starting issue until it warms up. This weekend im planning to do another tune up, fuel filter, fresh premium, and was planning to do the intake air temp sensor hoping it would help with the cold starts, i removed it and it does have carbon build up i cleaned it with alcohol and a rag best i could until i can get the new one. Any advice on what i need to replace or do would be greatly appreciated. Also im in arizona right now its about 45 degrees in the morning but even in 60 degree plus weather if its been sitting it wont want to start. Thanks again for your help on keeping efs alive!
