2005 Honda Accord need help dianosing knocking noise
I have a 2005 Honda Accord Coupe w/ manual transmission and has started making a knocking noise.
-vehicle has over 200,000 miles
-engine oil changed regularly
-the noise starts whenever I press on the acceleration
-noise goes away when I am no longer pressing on the acceleration pedal or if I'm coasting with the clutch pressed in.
-noise will always come back whenever on the gas pedal.
I don't know what the noise could be but I've been told it may be that the Front axles need replacing. From the inside of my vehicle it sounds like the noise is coming from the driver side front wheel well area. Additionally I can almost "feel" the knocking noise while I'm holding the gear shifter.
Anyone ever have the same issue? Want to properly diagnose the issue to properly fix the issue. Any feedback would help, thanks.
