Using an eBay exhaust manifold. What turbo housing configuration from eBay works?
Im putting together a super cheap integra. I got a cast turbo manifold that has the wastegate in the middle of all 4 runners. bad is the turbo I got doesn't fit. I got 2 different turbos and both are the same.
anyone know which turbo from ebay would work with this manifold ?
ive grinded out the supports on the block as mush as I could. I cant grind anymore.

I thought the same but a guy on youtube has the same manifold and turbo is mounted the same way Im trying to. boosted john.
im not sure what to look for when looking at turbos. most I see on ebay has the same specs
if anyone knows which to buy or the specs please let me know.

You are going to need a turbo with a B compressor cover and a 5-bolt exhaust housing to use that manifold and keep AC.

Or buy a cx cast manifold for $210 that should work with my turbo. Flange on that looks like it is angled out a bit more
GoAutoworks sells their cast manifolds for 150ish. The flanges are slightly offset on those and other guys have said you must use that 5 bolt flange turbo. Or at least I think that’s what I remember them saying.
I checked there cast manifolds and looks exactly the same. both turbos I have are 5 bolt turbine housing. but the ad title does say t04e 57 trim.
what I noticed is that on the youtube video I see his compressor housing has the square part number plate right by the vacuum port right before the outlet. both my turbos and others I see on ebay have that square number plate on the other side.( on the side that would be up against the block.
the few that has the compressor housing like in the youtube, ad also says t04e. but ill give that a try.
ok; I thought I could just weld another flange at an angle but forgot that I didn't have the compressor housing installed before. so no way this will work unless I extend the turbo lower, which I don't want to do.
im going to ditch this manifold and get the cx racing cast manifold to try. looks lie it is angled more.
just incase others read this in the future, here are some pictures of the manifold
wastegate touches the valve cover. little bit of grinding needs to be done.

Niet. No grinding. Even if the turbo sat lower you'd have possible drain back issues later.
That Exhaust manifold was made for a To4b cover with 5-bolt Ford-style turbine flange or 5-bolt IWG turbine housing.

Ebay/CX/EMUSA... Prepare for fitment issues somewhere. I had to grind down part of the head flange to clear the PS bracket on my old cx kit. Also had to MAJORLY modify the downpipe and a bit on the IC piping. Grinding, cutting, welding.. All 3 of those are to be expected with these.
Come to think of it, that reminds me of the old BLOX exhaust manifold from years back. The location of the wastegate was poor to where you had to grind around the head, and it only fit the 4 bolt turbine housing in a T04B, even though it advertises otherwise. Yikes!
Blox Exhaust manifold cast
Blox Exhaust manifold cast
found this, ad says t04B. will be here Friday and ill report back.
I have no problem cutting and modifying to fit. if this turbo works, its a total of $180ish for turbo and manifold. ill save the other turbos for other projects and this will be up for others to see and learn from. downpipe flange and most tubing I have. intercooler kit was $150ish, wastegate $45, bov $23. only thing quality of this car at this point is the arp head studs. everything else is the cheapest I could find on ebay.
that blox manifold does look exactly the same. this manifold was $53 I think on ebay "make an offer"
they probably had to many complaints and stopped ordering them and manufacturers keep making them
for me that's the fun part. Its like a treasure hunt for cheap stuff(I know its cheap and lower quality). and also it helps others that don't have much to spend to know which is ok and which to avoid. I use to only buy brand name parts a long time ago. but now I really don't care and cheap parts have been getting better every year. I don't mind blowing this engine. I have a gsr im tearing down so to rebuild; and year cheap parts only. I like to tinker and that relaxes me.

I'm out.....
A friend of mine running this same manifold on his b16 turbo, he had to grind d block for it to fit but it did, probably you need to grind the block some more, and grind off the number plate off the compressor housing it won't fit with that on it, also these manifolds are made to be used with the smaller head wastegates so it doesn't touch your head

thanks for the info. I got the wastegate before the manifold. figured it has fins and cost is the same as the older slimmer versions. but a small amount of grinding fixed that.
theshodan; you just made me realize that the dump tube will be pointed right at the a/c lines behind the radiator. I remember seeing a pic of this manifold installed. ill wait to install the engine and see how much it needs to be turned. don't want it to point at the power steering either.

You said you wanted the challenge and didn't care about this motor right?
well.. Welcome to the challenge.!!!!!
Which translates into "Upon first start up after half-assed modifying the car, we realized there was no way in hell the car would even survive a dyno session or street tuning."
