Pls help: Throttle body accidentally sprayed with brake cleaner & removed some gray c
Hi Forum,
I mistakenly tried to remove some of the gray coating (sealant) in the throttle body which I thought was carbon buildup. I sprayed it with brake cleaner and tried to scrape of the gray coating. After looking up my symptom of bouncing idle, I found that I shouldn't have sprayed it & tried to scrape it off. I may now have a bad seal in the throttle body due to butterfly plates not having a proper seal any longer. The symptom I'm experiencing now is a bouncing idle from 700 RPM to 2000 RPM. Please help with advice on how to repair my issue?
Thank you.
