I am looking everywhere for anything on rebuilding my trans. It is a P2a8 . I cant find anything anywhere . Any advice or info is appreciated in advance!

 

Most people don't bother rebuilding them as it's generally cheaper and easier to source a replacement unit. That's why you're not finding a lot of info online. If you find the service manual for your vehicle, it will tell you everything down to clearances and torque specs with photos.

 

Thank you for the response! What other transmissions will pair up to my engine that would be a better option or should I stick with what i have?

 

If you're just looking for an OEM replacement then look for one out of a similar year to yours. If you want shorter gears for better acceleration then an H22/H23 transmission. Basically any manual 90-02 Accord transmission or 92-01 Prelude transmission will fit with the exception of the wagon transmissions from the 90-93 models and the SH transmissions from the 97-01 Prelude models. There are also a plethora of JDM variants that will fit. Majority of the JDM transmissions are factory LSD. They are all over eBay.

 

Are they worth anything though? most of them are like "rebuilt to OEM specs" and 800 is a good chunk of change to drop!
