I drive a manual 97 civic hatch cxi and had the ECU replaced last month and it failed again. Anyone knows what the problem might be ? Also want to know if an ECU from a 99 automatic civic hatch would fit mine ? Thanks

 

Describe the symptoms that lead you to conclude that the ECU is bad.

 

There was a miss in the engine when I start the car first thing in the morning. This happened both the times before the ECU failed. Now the car cranks up fine and stops immediately.

 

Pull the CEL codes and post them.
