I have up for grabs a lot of ecus. First up are the chipped ecus: po6 a02 , po6 L50 manuel converted, p75 ao1 , p28 L51 manuel converted but chip side does work throws solid check engine with a chip or data logged in it. All chipped ecus had full data logging done as well. Now onto the non chipped ecus which I can chip for a small fee. Po6 L51 manuel converted, p28 a02 times 2,p28 a51.
chipped ecu 150 non chipped 100
I just bought a 96 civic hatch with a b16b , the previous owner was running a p28 but it's no good anymore (currently running on a gsr ecu ) so should I get another p28 , what do you recommend?
Was he using a stock p28? Most use a p28 as they are cheaper then a obd1 p72 or p30. You need a chipped obd1 ecu so you can run a b16 base map and or get your car tuned. And yes I have that.
You need to open the ecu to see if it was chipped or not. A stock p28 will not run that engine correctly at all. You need a “chipped “ ecu so you can tuna b16b base file and or get the car tunned.

so if I get a p28 chipped for a b16 will it still ha e to be tuned?

You can run a b16b base map which is the stock tune. But yes tunning it is always a better option if the engine is 100% stock then the base file should be fine. But you need a chipped ecu to run a different ecus base file that what came on that ecu.

this is all new to me so let me see if I'm understanding you right , your saying I can get a p28 but it has to be chipped then i can run the b16b base map?
and do you have a chipped p28 that you can put the b16b base map on?
Not many people do or have that. It's best for you to actually get an entire system and have it tuned properly for that particular engine (**cough** Hondata **cough**). It may be more expensive in the short run, but you never have to worry about having a bad program, or a bad tune already within the system. You may cry once, but you only buy once.
And you do that with one of the ECUs you get from BoostHatchFreak.

Should I just fix what's wrong with the chipped p28 that was originally on it , the fuel pump signal went out on it but idk if that's something easy to fix and cheaper than getting another ECU

You need to perform an F5 hard refresh on your browser. I've triple checked. Shows that it is open.
