Replacing foam under floorboard carpet???
HI everyone,
I have a Honda accord 2006 SE 4-dr.
How can I replace the foam that is attached under the floorboard carpet?
I am trying to avoid replacing the front carpet ($$$) so i'm looking for a solution to replace only the foam.
I recently discovered there was a leak in my accord. Fortunately, I was able to sealed up the leak.
However, it left me with a small moldy problem. When I removed the floorboard carpet from my car I found a patch of mold on the foam.
I want to remove the mold before it becomes a big problem.
I had an idea to remove the foam from the carpet and replace it with foam that I can find in Home Depot.
The problem I see with this is matching the cuts that came with the original foam. The thickness of the foam changes throughout the carpet.
Would this be a bad idea?
How would you approach this problem?
Thanks!
