Default D16y7 into a 92 hatch

Hey guys I’ve swapped my 92 hatch with a d16y7 but have run across a problem it seems that it won’t start that easily and when it does it back fires and huffs and puffs.. I’ve asked around and somebody was saying on the d16y7 there is a crankshaft position sensor by the timing belt but no plug in for the harness what do I do?? Somebody help

If you kept the pcm and harness from the 92 you dont need the crank sensor. Are you using the distributor from the 92?

The p06 is an obd1 non vtec ecu. Its technically for a 1.5 non vtec but will run the 1.6 you have now just fine. Either way you still dont need the crank sensor.
