Default Is there any fuel pump NOT underperforming lately due to Chinese Manuf. Processes?

Hi all!

I’m wondering if there is any fuel pump NOT made in China, I mean 2 years ago I purchased an AEM fuel pump that literally said “Made in China” it died within a month, got my money back.

I went and purchased a Deatchswerks fuel pump and it worked for 2 years and then it died, it didn’t say where it was made. Called the tech support and got it replaced it had 3 year warranty (awesome customer service btw) the one I got as replacement started having issues after no more than 4 months, Deatchswerks is replacing it again.

I tried to purchase an AEM green one, the ones 100% compatible with ethanol and methanol thinking they would be more reliable and made with better quality components, but it also says “Made in China” 😐

Is there any reliable fuel pump made in the USA or Japan that you recommend? Thanks for reading!

I've heard many stories surrounding the AEM fuel pumps being highly suspect anyways. DW is a good pump, TI Industries, Walbro, Aeromotive..

Tell us more about what fuel you're using and what your line/fuse/wiring setup is for the pump.

If you want "made in the usa" , you can get a weldon fuel pump, it wont work in the stock tank and its not cheap.

Stock fuel line 2000 Honda Civic Si, got a 14AWG wire straight from the battery with a relay and 15amp fuse, 13.9v on the car, I use premium fuel which states having up to 15% ethanol.

I've had the same Walbro fuel pump in my turbo integra since 2004, that seems a good testament to quality.

if you're going through fuel pumps like underwear, there's definitely something wrong. As for the "made in USA" stuff, good luck.

I have the AEM 320lph and it works fine...about 1yr in the car, next month.

Agreed. Walbro 255 for about the past 10 years no issues.

Worry less about country of manufacture and more about that companies track record

I removed mine as well and just went back with the Hallman MBC. I'm not gonna lie, dialing in BBG is a bit over my pay grade. Lol. I had it *somewhat* decent to 3rd and could never get 4th and 5th right at all.

just gotta play with frequency and duty cycle. different frequency requires different duty. My 4 port allowed me to dial in each gear wherever I wanted it.

ive been pretty happy with my walbro 450(87psi model) my 255 lasted for a while. Changed it because my duty cycle was to high
