Default 97 fb221 vtec manual problems

Hey new to this form and new to Honda’s....please move if not posted in correct thread....

Major problems
-Scanned it and got p0141 code (o2 sensor)
-On start up it idles at 1500 and than starts jumping between 1500 and 2000
-Give it gas and the motor loses its ****, starts running like it’s air fuel is fucked up and dies
-While driving it I hit the gas and it’s like it’s not even there
-Also for some reason just doesn’t enjoy being in 3rd for long and it’s a pain in the *** to get in reverse

Now I’m thinking it’s either the air idle sensor, tdc or tps but I get no codes for those only the o2

Any ideas would be appreciated thank you

Try cleaning the iac valves screen, the throttle body, and check tension on the throttle cable. Also check fitv and vacuum lines for leaks

I’ll try cleaning the throttle body today and I’ll check the cable

Im pretty sure I don’t have a fitv I’m a 97 vehicles before 96 normally have them

Also would the ac lines not being connected have anything to do with the engine itself

edit: just noticed while I was driving I lost my rpms battery also isn’t staying charged

You have a fitv unless some one removed it with a block off plate. As for lost rpm, it's possible you have a wiring problem, a faulty distributor or failing crank sensor.

check the pcv valve and it's hose routed to the intake manifold. Also check your coolant level. The idle up and down was happening on both of my 94 accords because of a stuck open pcv.
