All new parts but Rear Passenger Caliper still seizes up.
2006 Honda Accord EX-L V6 210000 miles
I have been having this problem for a couple of years but now the caliper is completely seized up.
New Caliper. I am on my 5th caliper in 2 years. The last two were changed within 24 hours of each other. We wanted to make sure that it wasn’t a caliper issue.
New Brake hose
New Rotor
New Brake Pads
New Brake Fluid
All Napa parts
We did not connect the emergency parking brake onto the caliper to see if that was the problem.
We disconnected the ABS module.
None of this worked. Within 200 yards the caliper is seized up and the temperature rises rapidly to 200 degrees. Within a mile the rotor smokes and smells like burnt. We remove the brake hose to relieve the pressure and unseize the caliper.
We don’t think it’s the master cylinder. Our reasoning is that all brakes would be affected.
Any ideas?

I suspect your problem is due to the new brake pads. Bought and installed new
w brake pads on my Chrysler minivan and everything you described was happening. I got the burnt pads replaced by the retailer. On further examination, i discovered that the ears on the brake pad were slightly wider than the original ones i had changed. I ground down the ears until they were sliding smoothly in and out where they seat and then i replaced the calipers. Problem solved. Not saying this would solve your issue but its something you can look at as I strongly suspect this is the problem.
