Default del Sol dome light issues

Hello all, I’ve searched & searched & found a lot of things but nothing specifically for the del Sol. That being said I tried some solutions for Civic’s the same year as mine (95 Si) & still nothing. I swapped out my OEM radio for an aftermarket one & I know this is the culprit behind everything after researching. It was working fine before. The bulb is aftermarket LED but it works fine. The fuse is fine (trunk light works). I don’t have any harnesses unused behind the radio, everything is plugged in somewhere. All wires are secured & in place. The damn thing just won’t work. I guess what I need to know is what two wires do I need to jump together in order to have my dome light back. It won’t work when doors are open or when it’s switched to the “on” position. I’ve got my radio & everything pulled out now so any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

Remove the light housing and test the switch with a multimeter. Also check the wire harness connector for battery voltage and good ground. The problem should be revealed from results of these basic electrical tests.

check the door jamb switch. It's a single wire sensor that closes the loop, to make the dome light to come on.

OP said dome light does not work when door is open or when switch is turned on. A bad door jamb switch would not explain why light does not work with switch.

It's also not uncommon for the ceiling switch mechanism to fail or become corroded.
