Integra Type R Is One Man's Ultimate Dream Ride
By Brett Foote

Spotting a '90s or '00s Acura Integra is a rare occurrence these days, making this beauty a real sight for sore eyes.

Car looks awesome, but it's nothing but a show car. Engine bay tucking and shaving is pointless, and likely makes certain parts of the car a PITA to service. Not to mention it's lost most of the street-driven creature comforts. I'd much rather see a Type R done up with this quality of craftsmanship, where the engine bay is mostly OEM brand new showroom-level cleanliness.

you read my mind patrick!

I was expecting to see (After getting the honda tech email showcasing this) a re-done stock, but all new version. Here we're presented with a case of "look someone saved this and rebuilt it like new" but reality is, this is someone else's vision of what new is. Hey the guy can do what he wants and more kudos to him for building what he always wanted. Let's be realistic here, this isn't a factory new car, but a new build.

What I enjoy is what people on this forum are doing, renewing the old car to new. I've been doing the same with my project civic car. Slowly fixing, renewing what I can with what money I have!

That's a beauty, all right. I have one just like it for sale: '99 IT-R, one owner, 23,000 miles, perfect shape, rt.-hand drive, all original except Mugen exhaust & pedal cluster. Here's the catch: I live in Japan. I'll be moving back to CA this year, and don't really want to sell the car. Does anybody have any way to get around the dumbass 25-year-rule in the US? If not, I'll sell it here for the best offer. Photos on request.

Could try selling it in Canada which has a 15 year import rule, I think.

Love how clean the car is! I found a 1999 civic type R (from Japan) for 7700$ I would love to get it and rebuild it. They just don’t make cars like they used to lol!
